Asharq Al Awsat Researchers have identified the earliest known proof of humans crafting tools from whale bones. The remains, shaped into slender missiles used for hunting, were discovered during excavations extending over a hundred years ago in the Bay of Biscay close to Spain and France. Researchers concluded these instruments were from an early era; however, since numerous pieces were merely tiny shards, estimating their exact age proved challenging. In recent years, technological progress has enabled experts to trace back the age of ancient tools to approximately 20,000 years.
