- Two years ago, Puma committed to serving as the Premier League ball supplier.
- The Puma match ball was also in use during the Carabao Cup last season
Puma has revealed their very first Premier League ball for the 2025-26 season, after the commencement of their new profitable agreement.
After 25 years of collaboration, the Premier League decided to terminate their ball supply agreement with Nike once the previous season concluded.
Puma are already the manufacturer of both the LaLiga and Serie A ball, while the Puma Orbita 1 was also in use in the Carabao Cup last season.
And now the sportswear brand have premiered the Orbita Ultimate PL for the very first time.
The ball will be in use for the Premier League's Summer Series pre-season event in July, before the the top flight kicks off on August 16.
'The launch of the new ball, which will be seen in play for the first time during the Premier League Summer Series, marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter,' said the Premier League's Chief Commercial Officer, Will Brass.

We're delighted to have PUMA join us as a major partner in elevating the Premier League experience, both on and off the field. We're excited to witness their contribution to producing remarkable plays and indelible moments for athletes and supporters everywhere.
Puma's match ball hit controversy last season in rather bizarre fashion, following Arsenal's Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg defeat to eventual winners Newcastle.
In the match where they were defeated 2-0, Arsenal was unable to find the back of the net even though they managed 23 attempts on goal.
However, instead of criticizing the team’s lackluster performance up front during their match at the Emirates, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta pointed fingers at how the ball was being handled.
He stated: "We also sent many balls high above the bar, which makes things difficult as they tend to travel quite far. There are aspects where we can improve."
'It’s simply not the same. The Championship ball differs greatly from what we see in the Premier League, and one must adjust accordingly. Its flight pattern varies… plus, touching it feels quite distinct due to the differing texture, hence adaptation is crucial.'
It will be a challenge for Arteta as he gets accustomed to watching his team play this style of football as they aim to improve upon their current second-place standing next season.
