Mbeumo has been one of Brentford’s standout performers and he has just ended the season with 20 goals in the Premier League.
‘It is clear that if he is to be sold, it must be for a nice, nice amount. It is a lot. Mucho. Really a lot. Then it is clear that it is impossible to replace him one for one,’ said Brentford manager Thomas Frank.
‘It cannot be done. There is a reason why he costs x number of million pounds, and we do not have x number of million pounds to buy for. I would say that I would be surprised if a lot of big clubs don’t look at him.
'I am quite impressed with what he brings to the table. It’s remarkable how many wingers can net 20 goals for an average team? Add to that his seven assists along with his strong work ethic. Plus, considering his character. These factors all contribute to making him a valuable asset, thus a solid player.'
In the meantime, ex-United player Wes Brown has called on the team to pull out all stops for Mbeumo.
'Signing Bryan Mbeumo would clearly make sense for Manchester United; we're well aware of his capabilities. Whenever you look at the stats, he usually has either scored a goal or provided an assist,' said Brown. BoyleSports .
‘He is what United need, a player who is unpredictable and can look impossible to defend against at times, he works hard and always has his say on games.
'He has been Brentford’s top performer for several years now, and he would make an incredible addition to Manchester United.'
